1. Who Telebyte is
Telebyte Solutions Ltd (“Telebyte”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data collected through telebyte.co.uk. Telebyte is registered in England & Wales, company number 15656558, registered office 28a Church Lane, Marple, Stockport, Cheshire, SK6 6DE. Telebyte is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under registration ZB846344.
2. What Telebyte collects
- Contact form submissions: name, company name, email address, phone number (optional), enquiry type, agent count (optional), and the message you write.
- Lead magnet requests: email address and the resource you requested.
- Analytics: aggregated, anonymised usage data via Vercel Analytics (no cookies, no cross-site tracking).
- Analytics and advertising measurement (with your consent): if you accept analytics and marketing cookies, Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads measure how the site is used and which adverts lead to enquiries. These are disabled by default and only run once you opt in via the cookie banner.
- Server logs: IP addresses and request metadata retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes.
3. Legal basis
Telebyte processes the data above under the following UK GDPR lawful bases:
- Legitimate interests — responding to enquiries and delivering services requested.
- Performance of a contract — where you become a Telebyte client.
- Legal obligation — tax, accounting, and regulatory recordkeeping.
- Consent — analytics and marketing cookies (Google Analytics and Google Ads), which run only if you accept them via the cookie banner and which you can withdraw at any time.
4. How long Telebyte keeps it
Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months from the last contact unless you become a client, in which case it is retained for the duration of the engagement plus 7 years for financial recordkeeping. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days. Lead magnet email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
5. Who Telebyte shares it with
Telebyte uses a small number of processors to deliver this site and operate the business: Vercel (hosting, EU regions where possible), Resend (transactional email), Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads, for website analytics and advertising measurement, only where you have given consent), and the company’s accountants and lawyers. Telebyte does not sell personal data.
6. International transfers
Some processors (Resend in particular) may transfer data outside the UK/EEA. Telebyte relies on the UK’s adequacy regulations and Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, rectify it, request erasure, restrict or object to processing, and request portability. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@telebyte.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
8. Cookies
Strictly-necessary cookies may be set by the hosting platform for security purposes; these require no consent. Beyond those, the site uses analytics and marketing cookies (Google Analytics and Google Ads) only with your consent.
When analytics is enabled, a cookie banner asks you to choose “Essential only” or “Accept analytics & marketing.” Using Google Consent Mode v2, analytics and marketing storage stays denied by default, so no Google Analytics or Google Ads cookies are set until you opt in. Your choice is remembered in your browser; to change it, clear this site’s storage in your browser settings and the banner will appear again.
9. Changes
Material changes to this notice will be communicated by updating the “Last updated” date above. Substantial changes affecting existing clients will additionally be notified by email.
